The brief
Harbour & Bean is an imagined independent café on a busy seafront. Most visitors find it on their phone while they’re already nearby, so they need to answer three questions in seconds: Is it open? What’s on the menu? How do I get there?
Our approach
We put opening hours, location and the menu right at the top of the homepage, each a single tap away. The menu is real text rather than a PDF, so it loads instantly, reads well on small screens and helps the café show up in Google searches like “brunch near me”.
Design choices
- Warm, coffee-inspired colours — cream, espresso brown and a terracotta accent feel cosy and match the café’s interior.
- Big, friendly photography does the selling. The layout leaves plenty of breathing space around it.
- One clear action per section: see the menu, get directions or call ahead.
